Our Staff

 Dr. Jere Detter:

Dr. Detter graduated with a B.S. in Life Sciences from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1978.  He went on to pursue his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University where he graduated in 1982.  Dr. Detter started practicing small animal medicine and surgery in Omaha in 1983.  He has owned and operated Loveland Animal Hospital since October, 1999.  Dr. Detter enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but particularly enjoys diagnosing and treating problems of the ears and teeth.  He and his wife Kathy have two grown children living in the Omaha area.  At home, they have a Lab mix named Lucy, an English Springer Spaniel named Sara, and a siamese kitty named Foxy.

 

Diane, Office Manager: 

Diane has been at Loveland Animal Hospital since Dr. Detter took over the practice in 1999. Prior to that, she worked for him at another Omaha area hospital. Currently, she is the office manager here, and enjoys every minute of each day. The staff here is wonderful and caring, and we try to convey that message to each one of our clients and their pets. Diane is married, has two sons, two grandsons,  a terrific great dane named Sampson, and a bossy amazon parrot named Bill.

 

 

 

Theresa, LVT:  

Theresa is a Licensed Veterinary Technician.  She graduated from Omaha College of Health Careers in 1991 and has worked with Dr. Detter for 15 years.  She has a Lab named Whizzer, two cats named Rogue and Twofor, as well as a Lovebird named Chicken.

 

 

 

 

 

Lynsey, Vet Assistant:

Lynsey is a 2008 graduate of Iowa State University and was recently married to her husband Kyle. Lynsey majored in Animal Science, specializing in companion animals with a music minor. She joined the LAH team April 2009. She has two cats named Hollee and Rolly, four bearded dragons, two anoles, two red-footed tortoises, three rats, one mouse, two parrotlets, and a fish tank populated with angelfish!


 

  

 

Alyssa, Kennel Attendent:

Alyssa will be a sophomore this fall at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in Animal Science and Food Technology for companion animals. She has one schnauzer/poodle mix dog named Bentley. Alyssa has been with Loveland for almost two years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pat, Groomer:

Pat is our groomer here at Loveland Animal Hospital. The oldest established grooming family in Omaha taught her their style of grooming and she remained with their business until they closed.  The former owner, Dr. Perry, asked her to join his staff at Loveland Animal Hospital.  When she came here she had many duties in addition to grooming including assisting the doctor. She remained with Dr. Perry until he retired, it was then that she met Dr. Detter and became a part of his staff at LAH, as well. Some of the breeds she enjoys working with the most are Scottish Terriers, Schnauzers, and other small terrier breeds, although she really enjoys all of her four legged friends!
